Data Entry Block - MailSTAR USPS CASS Certification Postal SoftwareMailSTAR postal software accepts input addresses typed into the data entry block or pasted from a clipboard. The certify icon USPS CASS certifies and delivery point validates the input address. The data entry block supports free format address data meaning that there are no predefined address lines and fields. CASS Address Block - MailSTAR USPS CASS Certification Postal SoftwareMailSTAR postal software reports USPS CASS certification solutions in this read/only window. If multiple CASS solutions are available, they are ordered by address quality. MailSTAR postal software expresses address quality and reliability using a color-coded address quality bar. MailSTAR postal software address quality flags report edits required for CASS solution(s). USPS Standardized Delivery Point Validation footnotes report deliverability. In this example, there are two "TIED" USPS CASS certified addresses. When multiple solutions exist, <up-arrow>/<down-arrow> will scroll through the list. Color-coded Address Quality Reliability Bar: The bar indicates that the reliability of the displayed USPS CASS certified candidate is "85" reflecting the non-standard street suffix, misspelled street name, missing street directional and input state name "ALABAMA" instead of USPS standard state-code "AL". DPV Delivery Point Validation Footnotes: USPS standardized DPV footnotes are displayed right justified below the reliability bar. In this example, "AAM3", indicates that although the address is CASS certified, it is not DPV valid. If the address were DPV valid the code "AABB" would appear in green. CASS Address Detail and POSTNET barcode: The carrier route and USPS ZIP+4 delivery point barcode value is displayed in black. The complete twelve digit postal barcode appearing here in human readable form is shown using the USPS POSTNET barcode font in the Export page. MailSTAR Address Quality Flags: The address type and any address quality flags are shown in the lower right hand corner in red. The 'S' indicates this is a street address, the 'O' indicates an orthographic change "ARNOLDS" -> "ARNOLD" and the 'E' flag reports the directional element 'N' was added.
