What is CASS™?
CASS is a United States Postal Service® administered methodology to certify the accuracy of postal address verification software. CASS Certified™ products meet the United States Postal Service requirements for address standardization and accuracy.
What is DPV® ?
The DPV process determines if the CASS processed address is identified as a Postal Service™ delivery point and detects vacancies and other addressing issues that may hinder delivery.
What is CMRA?
A Commercial Mail Receiving Agency is a private enterprises that advertise and offer mail services of convenience to their customers. They hold mail for pickup or re-mail it to another address with payment of new postage.
What is an “Urbanization”?

What does DMM® mean?
The DMM guide contains the basic standards governing domestic mail services, descriptions of the mail classes and services and conditions governing their uses, standards for rate eligibility and mail preparation, and all postage rates and fees.
What is bulk mail?
Any mail class is considered bulk-mail when properly prepared and presented to the U.S. Postal Service® in sufficient quantity to qualify for USPS® postage discounts. USPS bulk-mail is often called presort mail
What is an Intelligent Mail® barcode?
The Intelligent Mail barcode is a 65-bar Postal Service™ barcode used to sort and track letters and flats. Intelligent Mail barcode technology, among other things, combines the capabilities of the POSTNET™ barcode and the PLANET CODE® barcode into one unique barcode.
